Today, underground provocateur Only Fire officially announces his new EP, Sex Demon, to be released September 12, 2025 via Epic UK. In addition, he also shares the EP’s second single, “DUMB” – a collaboration with breakout rapper and fashion-world disruptor Cortisa Star.
On “DUMB,” Only Fire’s runway-ready, femme-fatale production collides with Cortisa Star’s bratty bars and full-volume delivery. Anchored by an instantly quotable hook (“That boy is dumb, he’s so fucking dumb”), the track is a playful yet pointed kiss-off that swerves sentiment in favour of sharp-tongued swagger. The critically acclaimed Cortisa Star storms the track with a fiery verse after making her runway debut for Miu Miu’s AW 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week.
Speaking about “DUMB”, Only Fire shared: “I’m so excited to finally release ‘DUMB’. The sound is heavily inspired by Brazilian funk, which I love, and I’ve wanted to make a song like this for a long time. I’ve been listening to Cortisa Star since I watched her viral From The Block performance, and her verse on this one is so fire and goes perfectly with the chaotic beat. I feel like a lot of people will be able to relate to the lyrics of ‘DUMB’!”
“DUMB” keeps the momentum high for Only Fire following from June’s “HUNNY” – a hypnotic cut featuring vocals from ‘Nollypop’ star DETO BLACK, which has racked up over 100K Spotify streams. Across both singles, Only Fire continues to stretch his trademark text-to-speech sonics into bolder territory: sharper and more unapologetically confrontational.
The Sex Demon chapter marks a confident evolution in Only Fire’s sound, tapping some of the scene’s most exciting voices and seamlessly layering them into his signature Siri-core production.
Both “DUMB” and Sex Demon are set to cap a defining run for Only Fire, who’s now at the highest Spotify listenership of his career. His latest accomplishments include well-received remixes for Kesha (“BOY CRAZY.”), COBRAH, Isabella Lovestory and Heidi Montag (“5G” and “Go Harder”), alongside a Mixmag-approved Apple Music Pride mix. Elsewhere, 2024’s “Moana Lisa” has seen a resurgence in online popularity, hitting almost 60K likes and 350K views in a recent TikTok post, alongside over 15K creations using the song on TikTok.
Meanwhile, his own music continues to impact queer club culture, and has been championed by the likes of Dazed, i-D and Interview – as well as superstar Doja Cat, who recently played Only Fire’s music to thousands of fans on Instagram Live.
