Rising cinematic hip-hop auteur Ashwin Gane will be presented with the Best Emerging Artist Award at the 12th Annual Daily Front Row Fashion Awards during New York Fashion Week 2025. Known for curating music that feels like doctrine disguised as art, Gane has been called “hip-hop’s A24” for his cinematic approach, commanding bass-baritone vocals, and orchestral production. With his debut single “Regret It” charting at #74 on Billboard Digital Song Sales and #11 on iTunes Rap, viral tracks “milli-ON” and “Got It” (a #1 trending TikTok sound), and a catalog now surpassing 100 million combined streams and video views across platforms, Gane is proving himself a cultural force across music, fashion, and sports. “My music isn’t about making noise; it’s about making myth–something that lasts. I made this for the ones who lead quietly and win loudly,” Gane shares. Gane isn’t just making music – he’s building a cinematic world through sound, story, and strategy. His self-coined style, 'Mythic Trap', fuses orchestral grandeur, heavy 808s, and narrative-driven lyricism into hip-hop that critics call “cinematic, emotional, and deeply intentional.” Before stepping into the spotlight, Gane (formerly known as The ATG) produced for Swifty McVay (D12), Lil Reese, Icewear Vezzo, and Payroll Giovanni, while scoring the indie film Trap City and contributing to the Devil’s Night: Dawn of the Nain Rouge soundtrack. By 14, the self-taught prodigy had already created hundreds of beats blending anime, boom-bap, and symphonic textures–the DNA of 'Mythic Trap'. With “Regret It” in 2023, Gane cemented his arrival as a major new voice. The single’s cinematic video underscored his storytelling ethos and propelled him to stages at LA Fashion Week, Petco Park, and the NBA’s Intuit Dome. 2025 marked a breakthrough. His anthem “Way Up” became an official soundtrack for the US Open, played 53 times across the tournament. This milestone capitalized on the August release of Twilight Tales, an eight-track anthology with Grammy-winner Poo Bear and R&B disruptor Justin Love that earned 10M streams within weeks. Its operatic single “Leeches” was praised as “surreal, high-concept… A24 meets Metro Boomin.” Next up, on September 7, he made his NFL debut, performing for 70,000 fans at SoFi Stadium during the LA Rams season opener halftime show.
