Following their highly acclaimed version of Over the Rainbow last Summer and two smashing singles in 2024, including a debut entry into thraig & Scotte UK Commercial Pop Club Chart Top 10 in June with Dance On Ur Own 2 Feet, London-based queer, non-binary, Irish singer/songwriter JD Kelleher has today released yet another new pop single & music video, TAKE THE MON€Y & RUN for a hat-trick of great pop records this year.”

JD continues to deliver innovative pop grooves with Catalan musicians, Jimmy Pinol, David Ibarz & Marti Rieira & Alex Badia. Together they topped the Irish rock chart during the Marriage Equality referendum in May 2015 with their debut single & video version of Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart, the lead single from JD’s critically acclaimed 2017 debut EP, The Ugly Tree.

“There is so much darkness and division in the world today and it is deliberately stoked by bad actor billionaires, biased media, bigot celebrities, corrupt politicians…even fake allies.

Of course it leads to violence against minorities, particularly the LGBT+ community. The so called “culture wars” are basically a war on queers and minorities. Let’s call it what it is.

My songs are a call to JOY and a celebration of Difference, a call to fuck the begrudgers, to step more into and own our own lives and our power. To do what you want and to appreciate that we all have limited time in this beautiful fucked up world. Sing every song as if it is your last. Dance every dance. Love every Love.
