Hotly-tipped girl group, Say Now, have shared their explosive new single, ‘Trouble’. Listen HERE. Crafted by the group alongside pop go-to’s Wayne Hector (Sugababes, The Pussycat Dolls), Anya Jones (Little Mix, kamille) and Duck (Halsey, Mimi Webb), ‘Trouble’ arrives during a summer that has already spawned the SZA-approved single ‘Bitch Get Out My Car’, a support slot with Kylie at BST Hyde Park and a performance at the UK’s biggest pop festival, Mighty Hoopla. “Trouble is about knowing your worth and being confident in what you're bringing to the table,” share Amelia, Maddie and Yssy. “We want people to listen to it and know that it's ok to be outspoken and that you can have fun and be cheeky whilst doing so.” Channeling the spirit of girl bands that came before them, Say Now explain their sampling of 90s hit ‘Unbelievable’ by EMF comes from their love of Spice Girls: “When we were writing 'Trouble', our producer Duck told us 'Unbelievable' inspired 'Wannabe', so we thought why not go the extra step and use the actual sample but put our own spin on it.” Already proving a standout in live sets and across socials, ‘Trouble’ arrives accompanied by an official video in which Say Now are detained, shifting between innocent and mischievous versions of themselves in a bid to trick their accuser and the frustrated officer, played by I Kissed A Girl’s Fiorenza Cocozza. With choreography courtesy of Blake John Wood (JADE, Kesha) and direction by Favourite Colour: Black, the video concludes with the girls being bailed out by ‘MOTHER’, Girls Aloud’s icon, Nadine Coyle.
