The fiery new single from the ultimate triple threat, Vanessa Williams is available now via Mellian Music! 

The legendary star of the stage, screen and music scene has stepped into the next phase of her gleaming career with a new track that is sure to keep you dancing. 

Co-written by Disney songwriter / producer, Chantry Johnson (David Archuleta, Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo) ; songwriter Kjersti Long and long time collaborator, legendary songwriter / producer Kipper Jones (Brandy, Chaka Khan, Tevin Campbell ); “Legs (Keep Dancing)” is the first single from Williams’ forthcoming album on her own recording label, Mellian Music. 

The catchy chorus refrain, 'The Legs Are The Last To Go’ was gleaned from the title of legendary stage and screen actress, Diahann Carroll's 2008 memoir. It became apparent to singer, actress, and cultural icon Vanessa Williams, that this would be the inspiration for her long awaited reclamation of her status as dance music royalty.  

“What a joy it is to be making new music behind the mic again with old friends,” Williams says. “There’s a certain comfort in creating new works in the studio while reminiscing about how so many years in this business have brought successes, excitement, and lasting memories. Always moving forward is what drives me. Every challenge is exciting. And more new music to share with my fans is the fuel that lights my fire.”

The release of “Legs (Keep Dancing)” is accompanied by two blazing remixes from Bill ‘Peace Bisquit’ Coleman and John “J-C” Carr who re-imagined the track into both the propulsive 808 BEACH Mix and the Euro-house-y 808 BEACH Hustlin’ Mix. 

The energy of the track can be felt in the lively music video Directed and Co-Produced by Mike Ruiz and featuring cameos from Williams’ songstress daughter, Lion Babe and Ugly Betty co-star, Michael Urie.  

The final touches are being put on Vanessa’s first non-seasonal album in 15 years, set for release later this Summer.
