Group 82 Major has taken over the global charts.

The title song 'Choke' of 82MAJOR's first mini album 'BEAT by 82' (82MAJOR)  was released on the 21st (Korean time). They achieved the feat of taking first place on the US iTunes K-pop chart.

In addition, ‘Chok’ ranked 9th on the pop genre chart and entered the TOP 10 alone among K-pop songs. It settled at 44th place on the overall genre chart, and was the only K-pop song to be listed in the TOP 100, demonstrating the strong global popularity of 82 Major.

‘Chok’ is a song that embodies 82 Major’s confident and strong attitude. The lyrics are witty with a basketball motif and the members’ unique rap and vocals are impressive. Here, the minimal bass and addictive chorus captured the ears of listeners around the world. 82 Major, who officially debuted in the music industry in October last year, is leaving a strong impression on fans at home and abroad with unique music that combines hip-hop and K-pop and differentiated concepts. 

In particular, the spotlight is also focused on the members' solid skills and stage manners, as they were selected by global fashion magazine ELLE INDIA as one of the 'Top 8 talented K-pop new artists looking forward to the Coachella stage in 2025'. Recently, following Korea's largest summer festival 'Water Bomb Seoul 2024', the group has also joined the performance line-up in Hong Kong and Dubai, attracting attention as an emerging powerhouse of the 5th generation K-pop idols

Meanwhile, 82 Major plans to continue its active activities through broadcasting and various online and offline contents
