"My Wounded Heart (Piano Versions)" The Woolfman ft FC
Thursday 6th June 2024
Release date: TBC Label: W Recordings
The award-winning multi-instrumentalist, writer, producer and visual artist The Woolfman is set to capture the hearts of listeners once again with the release of ‘MY WOUNDED HEART (Piano Version)’ in English and Spanish - out May 31st. Stripped down to an acoustic piano which echoes Monk and Abdullah Ibrahim and the passionate vocal performance of Italian jazz singer FC (known for her collaborations with Yusuf Islam and Trio Manouche), the song is revealed – in the subtly different English and Spanish treatments - as an intimate ballad that recalls the resilience of love, long after the end of a relationship. Originally penned in Spanish, this heartfelt creation was sparked by a moment of inspiration at a gig when echoes of the classic Spanish lament ‘Quizas Quizas Quizas’ left an imprint.
The Woolfman made his triumphant return with the jaw-dropping single ‘MY WOUNDED HEART’ in English and Spanish. Released on April 12th through W Recordings, this has already been a huge club hit worldwide, endorsed by DJ legends such as David Guetta, Amazing Radio and five radio A-lists in the UK. It recently peaked at #10 on The Music Week Pop Chart. The video garnered two film festival awards, including Best International Music Video at the Indie Vegas Film Festival and the winner at 1st Monthly Film Festival.
Beatport has witnessed a surge of DJ downloads for the exclusive remix pack, attesting to the widespread acclaim and resonance of The Woolfman’s latest release. The more than 130,000 video views on Youtube speaks volumes, underscoring its undeniable appeal. The track to date has received more than 2300 international radio plays and reached more than 250,000 Instagram accounts. Following this triumph, audiences can expect an additional emotional and visual experience from ‘MY WOUNDED HEART (Piano Version)’, which promises to be a darkly-lit love letter expressing the song’s profound meaning.
