Sunday 4th February 2024
Australian icon Dannii Minogue today surprises fans with an infectious original production ‘Thinking ‘Bout Us’ alongside Sydney based DJ and producer Autone. All about entering the era of you, the new single is the ultimate confidence boost to put yourself first. With sparkling inflections, Dannii Minogue’s vocals soar atop Autone’s bright keys and bouncing bass line as she declares “I will love you better when I’m loving myself”, determined and steadfast on the journey. Shimmering arpeggiated synthesisers circle throughout this uplifting dance anthem providing a constant energy source and inspiring listeners on their own paths to true self love. Speaking to the new single Dannii Minogue says “This is a song that will positively resonate with so many people and especially my fans when they see the video with all the little references to some of my previous music releases. I love being introduced to new exciting talent, and Autone is certainly that, I can’t wait to see him spinning this in the clubs.” “I have a long history of working with Central Station Records, it’s great to be back working with Archie and his great team.” Speaking to the record Autone shares “This is my first original, so it’s like my baby, and I am extremely proud of that. To get to write with the boys from DNA Songs and record with Dannii was an absolute honour.” And going further into his creative process he states “One weekend, I was just having a play on the piano, and landed on this great chord progression…within 24hrs after that we had a recorded demo and knew we had something rather special.” Dannii Minogue has been an entertainer since the age of seven, performing professionally ever since. As one of Australia’s biggest female exports, Dannii is no stranger to the music charts. In 1990 the then pop starlet released her debut Top 10 single and album ‘Love and Kisses’. A string of Top 10 chart hits followed internationally including ‘Jump To The Beat’, ‘This Is It’, ‘Put The Needle On It’, ‘I Begin To Wonder’ and ‘You Won’t Forget About Me’. Dannii proudly holds the music title Queen of the Clubs after scoring a record-breaking 17 Number One dance singles in the UK; more consecutive than any other female artist in the world. Madonna sealed Dannii's place at the top with ‘Don’t Wanna Lose This Groove’ in 2003, granting sampling permission (for the first time) with a bootleg of Into The Groove and Don’t Wanna Lose This Feeling. Dannii’s music has earned her more than 200 weeks, virtually four years, on the official UK sales chart, selling in excess of seven million records worldwide. The year 2015 marked the 25th ‘Danniiversary’ of her very first Australian single release, ‘Love & Kisses’, and marked this celebration with the headline performance at Sydney’s Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, where she wowed thousands of attendees who were treated to a spectacular disco-mega-mix production, brought to life by the world famous creative team at Squared Division. Cementing her title as Queen of Clubs, Dannii recorded a new song as a celebratory anthem for Mardi Gras, ‘Summer of Love’. The track reached the number one spot on the UK Club Charts and was remixed internationally by As I Am, Seamus Haji and Rich B & Phil Marriot. Just last year, Dannii again surprised fans as she joined her sister, Kylie, on stage at the Sydney World Pride Opening Concert. Together they performed a stunning rendition of ‘All the Lovers’, dazzling the huge crowd of adoring fans who had travelled from around the world to celebrate Pride.
