DTM unleash their brand new single Talk Like That

This is the story of Douglas Tyker McKee, or as fans know him: DTM. Douglas was born and raised in a town called Bullhead City, Arizona. He played sports growing up. Among those sports were soccer, baseball, and football. In fact, he had half a mind as a teenager to put great effort into trying to play college football. However alongside his interests in sports he has always had a passion for music. From hearing his father play piano (by ear, flawlessly) to rocking out to 80’s rock and pop music with his mom, to listening to classical music with his grandfather, there always seemed to be the presence of music his my life. At a young age, a seed was planted. After focusing on being a 3 season athlete in high school for 3 years straight, he suddenly felt the pull and ventured into both the choir and musical programs his senior year. He landed the role of Marius in his school's rendition of the popular musical “Les Miserables”. This helped stoke the fire of an even deeper rooted love for music. He went on to graduate High School in 2015 and began getting a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice at Southern Utah University that next spring. It was there that he made many friends including one who had a mutual interest in music. This opened up a door of opportunity to start exploring the creation of music. From that moment he began to explore different variations and genres of music, and the two worked together for almost 3 years releasing 8 singles, in the hip hop genre, as a producer/artist duo. He took this time to hone his skills as a writer and performer and did his best to pick up tricks and tips on production.
