Lauren Waller's debut album, Talking To Myself, delivers a bittersweet, intoxicating cocktail of indie, alt, and pop capabilities, with fresh, forward-thinking sounds. Talking To Myself is a sonic palette of attention-stealing songs that transports the listener with a savvy shot of pleasure.  The single, Backseat, is a personal favorite of Waller’s.  The title of the song tells the listener where the song will take them: the backseat of a car.  Waller says, “The song is exactly what you think it’s going to be about: hooking up with someone in the backseat of a car.  There’s no getting around that, that’s what the song is, but it’s also about love.  Love that’s playful, love that’s free, and love that’s occasionally impulsive.”  Backseat is a young love anthem that listeners may relate to—whether they want to admit it or not.  The single’s catchy hooks and cheeky lyrics create an irresistible sonic backdrop that transports listeners to carefree moments of youthful infatuation.  With infectious energy and relatable lyrics, Backseat promises to be a favorite among listeners. 

Deemed a modern-day Renaissance Girl, Waller holds a degree in theatre production and design and has pursued the art of varied mediums. As a singer-songwriter and performer, she has released numerous original songs with distinctive wide-ranging vocals and insightful storytelling lyrics. These releases include two EPs and a collection of singles, with works that have streamed worldwide. Waller has opened live, supporting world-renowned performers, including Tower of Power, Wilson Philips, Jim Messina, Basia, Peter Noone, Nancy Wilson, Flock of Seagulls, Anna Nalick, and Morgan James.

Waller has previously received numerous press accolades and recognition from tastemakers. She premiered tracks from the album live for the industry at this year’s highly regarded MUSEXPO showcase in Hollywood, California.
