Splitting her time between London and Liverpool, R&B pop artist DRCY [Darcie] creates music that touches on topics ranging from love, lust, heartbreak and everything in between. As a teenage girl trying to navigate her way through life, the songs produced with R&B/Soul legend Vince Garcia (Driza Bone/EMI) are raw, honest and vulnerable, allowing listeners to connect with her on a deeper level. Inspired by both old and new R&B, soul and Jazz, her passion for music stems from her childhood, having been raised in a family of musicians. With creativity running through her veins, there was no doubt that DRCY would follow a similar path to her parents, as she instantly dived headfirst into the industry and has since never looked back. Following the release of her 5th single ''I’m What You Like'', DRCY is unveiling her latest single, “Small Talk” which is a dance remix from Wilson and Smokin’ Jack Hill. ‘Small Talk’ narrates the early stages of a relationship, where your time is spent just getting to know someone and discovering what’s so great about this certain individual, “Small Talk” sparkles with the excitement of new love. Hoping to encourage others to live unapologetically themselves, the songwriter confides, “For so long I have cared about what other people think of me. Insecurities held me back for so long, I just need to own it now. I want my music to inspire people to feel good in their own skin, to feel sexy in their own skin. And I hope that everyone who listens to my music knows that life is not as serious as you’ve been told.” DRCY has received regular airplay from the likes of Jazz FM, BBC Introducing and Radio 1, quickly becoming recognised as an artist to watch this year.
