Sunday 17th October 2021
Release date: 15/10/2021 Label: TFM/Shadow Box
Lola Audreys releases the Redondo remix of her sparkling debut single 'Diamonds' today via her own label. The House kings add their infectious signature twist and takes this slice of pop perfection to dizzying new heights with an anthemic beat.
Born and raised on a farm just outside of Cape Town, South Africa, Lola Audreys releases her debut single 'Diamonds'. Continuing a journey that began when she was just seven years old playing and composing music on her family’s worn-out piano, the song is the culmination of those formative years, alongside a lifetime's passion of writing and recording music.
“I always dreamt of being an artist, to create, write and storytell. I love the process of feeling an emotion and expressing it all through Music. The ability to bring something new into existence and put it all together so that others can hear a story of their own within 3 minutes. That’s Magical”
Unapologetic in delivery, 'Diamonds' charts the demise of a relationship gone wrong, unpacking the story of asserting oneself and of taking back control.
Diamonds was co-written by Lola with Moss Kena [currently enjoying a radio smash with Purple Disco Machine & The Knocks ‘Fireworks’] and produced by Barnaby Cox, best known for his work with Anne-Marie, Olly Murs and Tinie Tempah. Lola is currently combining her love of travel and storytelling in the studio, as well as putting the finishing touches for more releases in 2022.
