Touch Me

Release date: TBC

Bright Light Bright Light (aka Rod Thomas) releases new track ‘Touch Me’ ahead of the eagerly anticipated EP release of ‘Cinematography’, which you can pre-order as a download or limited edition CD with fold-out poster here:http://po.st/blblcinematography

Taking on the Cathy Dennis version, ‘Touch Me’ comes as another incredible rework of one of Rod’s most favoured songs from the silver screen. He saysEveryone remembers Cathy Dennis' amazing 90s cover and partial re-write of 'Touch Me' but there's also something so cool about the original and its sparse production. Plus Fonda Rae's voice. It's from one of my favourite horror film franchises and that little riff is timeless, so I thought it would be a really fun one to cover for the EP. Done with a nod to both versions, and one of Cathy's other hits.”

‘Touch Me’ follows the first release from the new EP, a cover of  ‘Maniac’ (from Rod’s beloved dance film ‘Flashdance’), which you can hear here, and was also included in Bright Light Bright Light’s Halloween inspired mixtape ‘Cemetery Of Two Hearts’, a 60-minute mix of his favourite songs and dialogue from horror & sci-fi movies. You can listen to the mix here: http://bit.ly/2eNfy5Q

The ‘Cinematography’ EP sees Rod take his twist on soundtrack classics. Rod explains that'Choreography' was inspired by scenes from my favourite films and written to be the soundtrack to my own ridiculous colorful film, so as a sister EP, 'Cinematography' is a set of covers of some of my favorite songs from cinema.” Watch the promo video for the EP here: https://youtu.be/-0Bif-0vpUM
