Ain't My Fault
Release date: TBC Label: Black Butter
Over the past twelve months, pop’s newest slay queen, Zara Larsson has achieved what most artists can only dream of. With a string of global hits already under her belt, Zara today announces the release of her new single ‘Ain’t My Fault’ out in the UK via Black Butter Records.
To date, her stunning debut solo single ‘Lush Life’ (a Top 3 hit in the UK Of?cial Singles Chart), has gained over 457 million global streams on Spotify - selling one million copies in the UK alone, whilst also achieving platinum status in countless international charts along the way (6x Platinum in Sweden, #1 in the Swedish Singles Chart, top 5 in Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium).
‘Never Forget You’, the slick, future RnB collaboration with British producer/ singer MNEK further proved her pop prowess, with over 366 million global plays on Spotify, 255 million views on Vevo and landing Zara her ?rst UK top 5 single, while simultaneously placing ?rmly within the Billboard top 20, stateside, achieving platinum status in the process.
Hailed as “the queen of the charts” by The Guardian back in April, whilst having three songs in the UK Top 40 simultaneously, Zara has of?cially started her assault on the UK charts. Her duet with Tinie Tempah on ‘Girls Like’ and David Guetta on the of?cial UEFA 2016 song, ‘This One’s for You’ have seen Zara perform everywhere from Capital Summertime Ball to both the opening and closing ceremonies of UEFA Euro 2016 as well as performing on The Voice UK and The Jonathan Ross Show on the same night! Factor in a recent V Festival performance and the small matter of opening for Beyoncé on both dates of her Formation World Tour at Wembley Stadium, it’s been non-stop for the Swedish sensation.
With an already much anticipated international debut album in the works, MTV VMA nomination for ‘Best New Artist’, and recently landing a top 5 position (#4) for MTV’s ‘Hottest’ in the UK, the next 12 months look set to be massive, as she gears up to release her next single, ‘Ain’t My Fault’. The bass-heavy, RnB-tinged track plays out over an urgent crash of horns and refracted beats, like a call to arms, as her distinctive vocal erupts as she sings “No I cant be responsible if I get you in trouble/See you’re too irresistible, that’s for sure”, through Zara’s now-trademark stamp of club-ready pop. Drawing on sassy RnB and seductive grooves, ‘Ain’t My Fault’ is an impressive step forward for Zara and one likely to propel her even further into global consciousness.
