Swedish-Jamaican artist and creator Shenie Fogo follows on from the sensational buzz from her recent releases “4 AM” and “Mood” with the release of her latest single “Make A Move”, as she gears up for the release of her forthcoming debut EP.
Greatly influenced by R&B music from the 90’s and early 2000’s, Shenie samples one of the genre’s beloved artists in Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down” – however drawing in new school production for a smooth, contemporary heater that oozes both class and late night feels.
Recapturing the best parts of an iconic sound, paired with sensual song writing, flavour from the islands and an innate Swedish moodiness, she forms a package that will continue the heat around her.
Growing up in Stockholm, Shenie always had a passion for creating and expressing herself through the avenue of art. Dancing every day of the week and singing every remaining hour as a child, she quickly leaned towards the idea of making music and started her journey, teaming up with Swedish producer iSHi, to evolve into a proven vocalist; featuring on a number of his tracks including “There For Me” – over 2 million streams strong - and more recently “Have Mercy” featuring Maleek Berry, currently on over 1 million streams on Spotify.
Working again with iSHi on this upcoming debut EP, it serves as a tribute to her favourite songs, artists, and genre that inspired her so heavily as a child. Embarking on a mini tour during the summer to promote the upcoming EP, Shenie’s balance of natural finesse and swagger marks her as a rising talent artist on the cusp of major acclaim. Don’t sleep.
