No Way Out EP

Release date: TBC Label: Circus Records

No Way Out EP

Up-and-coming electronic producer duo Standard&Push made their original debut on Flux Pavilion and Doctor P’s Circus Records last year and now the London-based pair reveal their highly anticipated debut EP, ‘No Way Out,’ available Sept. 30 via the famed bass label.

Incorporating elements of house, garage, electro, drum and bass and dubstep, ‘No Way Out’ blends sounds characteristic of the modern music landscape to deliver a fiery four-track offering. “Physical” mixes groovy electrohouse melodies with distorted glitchy breakdowns, resulting in an unpredictable bass twist on a punchy club electro track. “Now Way Out” takes on the pair’s signature bass house style and is a peak-hour dancefloor track, with boisterous female vocals overlaying a pulsating bass line.

About Standard&Push

Comprised of fellow London Royal College of Music alumni Konstantine Pope and Jason Filos, Standard&Push began making music together when they were neighbours in 2012. Having met while in music school, the friends began with early experimentation which led to success on Beatport and an award for Best GlitchHop remix.

Coming from highly educated backgrounds, the duo began to explore UK Bass, Garage and EDM in 2014 to develop a fresh mainroom sound which caught the eyes of Circus Records. Following a highly successful remix of Flux Pavilion’s “Who Wants to Rock,” which received over 170,000 plays on Soundcloud, the pair were officially signed to the label and are set to release more original music this year.

DJ support for Standard&Push so far from Flux Pavilion, 12th Planet, Excision, Dirtyphonics, Crissy Criss, Far Too Loud, Tommy Trash, Chris Lorenzo, Oliver Heldens and many more…
