Brookes Brothers

Brookes Brothers

Having proven yet another incredible year for the Breakbeat Kaos mob, this breath of fresh air from the Brookes Brothers looks set to be the 2010 sign off single. Taken from their eagerly awaited forthcoming debut album scheduled for spring next year, this one sets the scene perfectly as we prepare for possibly the biggest D&B album of 2011!

‘Last Night’ has been doing the rounds on dubplate for a little while now and has seen many a club surrender to its gorgeous future soul sensibilities. Skipping, delicate breaks and galloping synths send this on its way with the dreamy sustained vocals that have dance floors mouthing along in unison without fail! Bouncing along until the very end it shows the Brothers in fine form as their untouched skills in arrangement and musicality shine through in spectacular style.

Flipping over and Brookes come with something entirely different. Stepping out of their comfort zone ‘WarCry’ is a sonic explosion of half-stepping beats, snarling bass hits, thunderous subs and vocal chants that give a menacing middle-eastern vibe. Dripping in rattling percussion ‘War Cry’ shows them willing and able to roll out the big nasty beats when want to and only serves to tease their fans even more bring on the album we hear them shouting!

DJ support from Fresh, Andy C, Adam F, Brookes Brothers, Sub Focus, Hype, Marky, High Contrast, London Elektricty Danny Byrd and many more.
