Glad You're Gone

Release date: TBC Label: Right Track Distribution

Originally released last year as the first track from her debut album, the epic ‘Glad You’re Gone’, by Sarah McGuinness, now meets overwhelming public demand with it’s re-release and the stonkin’ addition of mighty Stonebridge & Hall remixes; adding to the stellar line-up of the masterful Todd Terry and Rich B & Phil Marriott.

‘Glad Your Gone’, was written as a big foot-stomping anthem of righteous anger and empowerment, depicting that twisting point when love becomes emotional manipulation and spirals into bullying.  Friends, lovers, parents and children – people of all ages fall into the trap of stepping beyond their own personal comfort in a quest to appease those close to them.  ‘Glad Your Gone’ is a joyously furious track, set at that moment between rage and sorrow when you know the manipulation is over and you can’t take any more; yet a spark of emancipated inspiration sets you free. Inspired by Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’, McGuinness ensures that her deep rich vocals command an anthemic song which will become a melodic chant for many years to come.
