  • I have used Euro Sulution exclusively for my bigger projects this year as I see a much better spread and activity than a normal DJs-only promo. Can definitely recommend them for top UK results and very detailed frequent reports on activity.

Hands ft Yungen

Hands ft Yungen

Like her musical heroines, KStewart possesses a remarkable voice with a sheer power that’s immediately jaw-dropping. Having spent much of the past year working on material for her debut album  with the likes of MNEK, Rodney Jerkins (Rihanna, Lady Gaga), The Movement (Justin Bieber), Matt Schwartz (Massive Attack), Shift K3Y and Banx & Ranx, Kate can now share her brand new single ‘Hands’

‘Hands’ blends a sassy Rihanna-style strut with a laidback, Caribbean-tinged R&B groove and a fiery rap courtesy of guest Yungen who Kate felt was the obvious choice for the track. ‘Hands’ was co-written with her brother David Stewart, whose credits include Tinie Tempah and Example. The siblings often unite their skills and spend hours at a time developing ideas at their home studio.

Kate’s solo career first took off when she was invited to tour as a live vocalist for Bondax, and she spent two years travelling the globe to play everything from club shows to huge festivals. Her subsequent solo work was kick-started when a session with Karma Kid yielded ‘Tell Me About That’, ‘Speechless’ and ‘Close Enough’: a triple-shot of woozy, chilled-out R&B that saw many herald her as one to watch.

Her sound evolved to invoke towering toplines and nuanced contemporary production on the uplifting ‘Keeping You Up’ and ‘Ain’t Nobody’, while ‘Be Without You’ finger-clicked its way through club-sized drums and wall-rattling bass, all the backdrop to Kate’s sweet harmonies. She’s already received airplay from Radio 1, 1Xtra, Capital, Capital Xtra and Kiss FM

Along the way, she’s simultaneously earned a reputation as a sought-after collaborator. Her biggest chart hit came when she provided the topline for Oliver Heldens’ smash ‘Last All Night (Koala)’ which catapulted into the charts at #5 and earned extensive support at Radio 1, including the Hottest Record in the World. In 2016, she teamed up with the legendary Sean Paul as the pair both featured on hot Norwegian producer Matoma’s track ‘Paradise’ – a track which passed 18 million streams at Spotify within a year of its release. Other influential artists such as David Guetta, Diplo, Skrillex and Craig David have also emerged as fans.

Hailed as this generation's answer to Mariah Carey by i-D, Kate cites classic divas as her main influence – artists who possess the vocal gift to complement their independent spirit. Kate is as strong-willed as the best of them: “I’ve always known what I wanted, so I don’t take any shit, basically.”
