JLS have announced the release of their brand new single ‘Eternal Love’, their first new music since 2013. The single, penned by Grammy award winning artist Ed Sheeran will be released via BMG on Friday 3rd September. True to form, ‘Eternal Love’ encapsulates the signature JLS sound that Marvin, Aston, Oritsé and JB have become synonymous for. Making nod to the bands roots and musical DNA, ‘Eternal Love’ showcases their unrivalled ability to sing seamless harmonies infused with classic RnB beats, this time reimagined for 2021and made to be enjoyed by their legion of loyal fans both old and new.

Speaking on the new single, JLS said: “Being back after so long has made us appreciate just how much we’ve missed singing and performing together. ‘Eternal Love’ is a continuation of the feel good energy we’ve always been about. Music is and always will be in our DNA, the chemistry we have as a band is unique and we’re looking forward to our new chapter - JLS 2.0. It feels good to be back”.

After a 8 year hiatus ‘Eternal Love’ signifies the return of one of the UK’s biggest and best selling British boy bands to date. Ed Sheeran’s involvement in writing the record further cements their status as one of UK pop’s most recognised and celebrated musical groups and clearly sets the tone for the direction JLS are moving in as they embark on this new musical journey. Including an all star array of musical greats, ‘Eternal Love’ was also produced by the legendary Steve Mac who wrote the group’s chart topping debut single ‘Beat Again’.

‘Eternal Love’ is the first single from the band's upcoming new album titled ‘JLS 2.0’, set for release on 3rd December. For the first time ever, the album will also be available on limited edition coloured vinyl as well as limited edition coloured cassettes, poster CD and a deluxe CD with 3 brand new tracks.

Since the band’s inception in 2007, JLS reinvented the wheel for the modern boyband and made their mark on British music through their inimitable soulful, RnB and pop influenced sound all underpinned by highly stylised choreography. Collectively JLS have amassed five Number One singles with their instantly recognisable chart hits ‘Beat Again’, ‘Everybody In Love’, ‘The Club Is Alive’, ‘Love You More’ and ‘She Makes Me Wanna’.

Having carved out their own niche as a mid-late noughties mainstay, the band make their highly anticipated return to the spotlight following a record breaking career. They have sold over six million records and four multi-platinum albums and their self-titled debut went straight to number one and has since sold over a million copies in the UK.

JLS are two time BRIT winners, having won Best British Breakthrough and Best British Single with ‘Beat Again’, which was also named the fastest selling debut single of 2009. As well as their huge commercial success and consistently dominating the pop charts, the band made a massive impact on RnB music with five MOBO Awards and three Urban Music Award wins highlighting the astronomic impact their music had in resonating across both pop and RnB realms.

As well as new music, JLS will embark on a 28 date UK and Ireland tour kicking off in Glasgow on October 20th and closing in Birmingham on November 27th. The last date of the tour will encompass both an evening show, as well as a free, NHS matinee performance that has been arranged for all NHS frontline staff and primary care workers, as a personal thanks from the band to the national health service, for their admirable and continued efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
