The reaction also prompted an addition to the official Sounds of Love Island Spotify playlist at a peak position of #2, tipping the track into 21.5k daily UK streams and 57k globally, with 2k daily saves.

The track’s already attracted celebrity attention on both TikTok and Instagram, with ex-Love Islanders including Joanna ChimonidesKady McDermottCally Jane Beech and many more using the track following its placement on the reality TV show. England and Manchester United Footballer Dean Henderson also sang the track on BBC Radio 5 Live with fellow national player Raheem Sterling at the beginning of the EUROs tournament.

240 million catalogue streams, 2.5 million Shazam tags and Platinum-selling singles in Australia, Ireland and the UK, are just a few of primary artist John Gibbons’ accolades to date. ‘Let Me Love You’ follows huge hit summer track ‘Hotstepper’, which has smashed over 30 million streams, while teammate Franklin has had an insane past 6 months, releasing co-produced 2021-take of CHIC classic ‘Everybody Dance’, with Cedric Gervais and co-signed by Nile Rodgers who replayed his guitar on the record.

John’s global hits have had continuous support from Spotify dance playlists including mint (5.8m followers), Dance Party (4.6m followers) and Massive Dance Hits (1.2m followers), featured on the biggest dance YouTube channels Mr Revillz (3.1m subscribers), The Vibe Guide (3.8m subscribers) and received key radio support from BBC Radio 1 & 2Capital FM and KISS FM, which has contributed to the success of him spending 100 weeks in the singles charts, achieving 3 x Top 40 Irish singles and hitting the #1 on the Shazam and iTunes charts.

As a result, John also achieved a Top 5 club chart position in addition to Shazam success with a #1 in Australia and Top 5 in the UK and has secured a #1 dance hit in the UK with his single ‘A Spaceman Came Travelling’, proving his hit-making credibility.

John says on ‘Let Me Love You’:

“Since Love Island still and inexplicably haven’t invited me into the villa as a contestant, I figured what better way to flex romantically than with ‘Let Me Love You’! The track was so much fun to work on and I’m really pleased to have been able to marry the smoothness of the vocals with a more contemporary dance-pop sound!”

As one of the most exciting DJs in the dance world, John’s international status stems across the world, having headlined two sold-out headline shows in the iconic Olympia Theatre, a summer residency in BCM Mallorca (previous hosts include Steve Aoki and Martin Garrix), supported the likes of Justin BieberThe ChainsmokersAlan WalkerTiësto in huge stadium shows and performed at festivals including CreamfieldsElectric Picnic and more.

Franklin has clocked up an impressive 29 million streams and has been mentored by Digital Farm Animals after going mad about DFA’s hit with Galantis leading to him being discovered online by the major international outfit. Franklin has remixed for an impressive array of artists from Steve AokiJames Arthur to Mike Posner and more.

Franklin says of the single:

“I had a wicked time making this one with John. The idea for the single came about a while back and it’s been really exciting turning the dial on it to the point now where it’s coming out for the world to hear. The original was such a defining record and so to have the opportunity to put our own spin on it feels special.”

After an accolade of successful hits under their belt, John and Franklin are looking to continue their global consecutive streak with ‘Let Me Love You’ hitting dancefloors across the world.
