A bit of "Black Magic" from Jonasu

Jonasu, aka Jonas Kröper, is a German born multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer now residing in Amsterdam. With over 720k monthly listeners on Spotify his impressive music catalogue has accumulated millions of streams. He has written and produced for artists including Sam Feldt (multi-platinum selling single Post Malone) and Alok & Dynoro (smash single On & On). He has also produced remixes for Sigma on their hit single Find Me ft. Birdy as well as R3HAB’s single Family Values (with Nina Nesbitt).

Having previously stated that he likes to make modern versions of classic songs, Jonasu recently joined forces with British singer Felix Samuel for a cover of Tove Lo’s dark pop hit Habits (Stay High). Since release the cover has accumulated over 3.5 million streams,  peaked at #11 on Music Week Pop Charts and was added to radio playlist KISS Dance.

The single also received solid playlist support across DSP’s including Spotify’s ‘Friday Cratediggers,’ ‘New Music Friday Sweden,’ New Music Friday NL,’ ‘New Music Friday Denmark,’ ‘New Music Friday BE,’ ‘Hot New Dance,’ ‘BPM Today’s Top Dance Hits,’ ‘Beats Of Tomorrow,’ and ‘Dance Room.’ Also added to Apple Music’s ‘New In Dance’ as well as Amazon’s ‘Dance Covers,’ ‘Friday Night Bangers,’ and ‘Fresh Dance.’ Support from YouTube included ‘The Vibe Guide’ (3.04m), ‘Mr Revillz’ (3.07m) and ‘Chill Nation’ (9.84m). The acoustic version of Habits (Stay High) premiered on Wonderland Magazine.

Since achieving great success with his remixes and covers, Jonasu is now back with an original dance banger titled Black Magic. “I wrote the song with the same team I did  Sam Feldt’s - ‘Post Malone’ with’’,  says, Jonasu. “We had quite some fun the day we wrote this, chatting about our personal lives and talking about that feeling you get when someone has complete control over you. What you are thinking and how you are behaving, it’s like being under a spell: Hence the concept Black Magic, where we are combining dark and sexy energy.”

With more new music also to come in the new year, this is only just the beginning for Jonasu.
