2017’s biggest global breakthrough artist JULIA MICHAELS is back with brand new single ‘Jump’, set for release on Polydor Records. The single features Ohio rapper Trippie Redd, who has previously collaborated with the likes of Diplo, Lil Yachty and Travis Scott

The bittersweet love jam follows Julia’s recent UK Top 10 collaboration with Clean Bandit ‘I Miss You’ and her previous solo releases singles ‘Uh Huh’‘Heaven’ (featured on the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack) and her the mammoth multi-platinum debut hit ‘Issues’., The latter was thethe best-selling  song by a new artist debut released last year, storming the Top 10 of the Official Singles Chart in the UK upon its release. ‘Uh Huh’ and ‘Issues’ were both included on her ‘mini-album’ Nervous System, released last summer to widespread acclaim.

Over the past three years, 24 year-old Julia has redefined the pop landscape and solidified herself as one of pop music’s most in-demand songwriters, forging her own unique sound both in the tracks she’s written for pop megastars from Justin Bieber to Selena Gomez and in her own music. As FADER noted in their profile last summer, “The vulnerable songwriter is making pop a weirder place.” LandingWith international tours with Shawn Mendes and Niall Horan under her belt along with a prestigious Grammy nomination for Best New Artist at this year’s ceremony, Julia’s trajectory is undeniable. 

Prior to making her debut as a solo artist, Julia co-wrote a string of hits alongside Justin Tranter including smashes Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry,’ Nick Jonas feat. Tove Lo ‘Close,’ Selena Gomez’s ‘Good for You’ feat. A$AP Rocky and ‘Hands To Myself,’ Hailee Steinfeld ‘Love Myself,’ Britney Spears ‘Slumber Party,’ and Gwen Stefani ‘Used To Love You.’ 

Mand, more recently, Julia has co-written Janelle Monae’s single ‘How You Make Me Feel’, SelenaGomez’s ‘Bad Liar,’ Ed Sheeran’s ‘Dive’ and John Legend’s ‘Surefire.’  Her vocals are also sampled on ‘Gang Gang’ by Migos and she has a duet on Shawn Mendes’ upcoming album. The cumulative worldwide stream count for songs Michaels has co-written exceeds 10 billion to date.
